Morialta Falls is one of the best locations in the state for long-exposure water, rock textures, and tight abstract compositions. In spring the wildflower coverage is outstanding. In autumn, the colour through the Hills is as good as anywhere in Australia. Wildlife in the area includes echidnas, wallabies, and a wide range of birdlife in the gum forests.<h2 id="ced7616c-c440-4b90-a51e-35cb07548545" data-toc-id="ced7616c-c440-4b90-a51e-35cb07548545" style="font-size: 24px; line-height: 1.2;">Fleurieu Peninsula — seascapes and bird photography </h2>About an hour south of Adelaide, the Fleurieu gives us real coastal variety. Second Valley is one of the most photogenic small coves in the state — dramatic sea cliffs, crystal water, and intimate compositions. Victor Harbor and Granite Island are excellent for bird photography, with pelicans, oystercatchers, and little penguins depending on the season.
